Dec. 2001-

The few bits of treasure that were acquired were divided among the surviving heroes. Mr. Wind and Kain used their new wealth to get some much needed combat training. Josephine learned to speak. Phil signed up at the magik school. Unrau lived in the slums of Shacktown and nobody knows where Sir Fightsalot went. Phil found a familiar: a raccoon named `bitey'. The navigator brain, who was now officially considered part of the group, spent time thinking. A couple of enjoyable months went by when the valiant ones felt homesick and left for Honshar.

But they were only in Honshar for a brief time before they were summoned back to Glantry City. Steve Jeffe made had himself king and had decided that he needed some knights to go along with his royal palace. Candidates for knighthood were in short supply and King Jeffe was forced to recruit the likes of Mr. Wind, Kain, and Sir Fightsalot. They were given armour and fancy swords and lordships at a extravagant ceremony. The other heroes were given hearty handshakes and promises of trinkets and shiny baubles at some undetermined future date.

After the festivities, the fledgling knights (except for Sir Fightsalot, who wandered off) started off on their first missions in the name of the king: increase the tax base. Building palaces and arming knights and holding ceremonies was expensive. Kain accepted a young man, Alan, as his squire promising to be a hard and cruel and petty, but fair master. As the knights and Alan started off on their quest, the other heroes stood around for a bit. They were neither asked to join the knights on their quest nor asked to stay behind. They went anyway.
